Executive Director

Lella graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Elementary Education. Lella states that she is one of the lucky people who truly loves her job! She enjoys seeing the children learn the skills they need to be successful in school, as well as hearing feedback from their parents about how great they are doing once they start "big" school.

Bry Davis

Bry Davis

Program Director

Bry graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education and received her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She taught at Mitchell's Place for 9 years. Bry loves working to make a difference in young children. Her goal as Program Director is to direct and lead the staff and develop curriculum that provides the skills necessary to achieve school readiness. Bry is excited to be a part of the PreSchool Partners family!

Stephanie Pressley

Stephanie Pressley

Director of Development

Stephanie graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Communication Management. She has worked in the Birmingham non-profit community for the last 8 years. Making an impact in the lives of children in the Birmingham community is important to Stephanie, and as the Director of Development, her goal is to ensure that PreSchool Partners has the funding to continue providing quality early education to students.

Loretta Keller

Enrichment Coordinator

Loretta has a degree from the University of Alabama in Communications and has been on staff with PreSchool Partners for 14 years. She has taught in both the 3 and 4 year old programs. Loretta explains that she loves her job and that the best part is watching the progress of the children – they are amazing!

Shunnecia Thomas

Shunnecia Thomas

Office Manager

Shunnecia graduated from Erwin High School and is also a graduate of the PreSchool Partners Parent Program. She loves the preparation and structure that PreSchool Partners provides the students. Shunnecia loved her experience in the Parent Program and has been on staff for over 6 years!

Teacher, Four Year Olds

Lilla graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught preschool as well as having taught second grade for three years for a nonprofit school in Charlotte, NC. Lilla is so excited to be a part of the PreSchool Partners family!

Teacher, Four Year Olds

Millie graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in elementary education and has worked in the early grades of Birmingham's public schools for twelve years. She loves teaching young children and guiding them through exciting discoveries of the world around them. She is looking forward to working with the excellent staff of PreSchool Partners, the students, and their families!

Teacher, Four Year Olds

Mary graduated from UAB with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught second grade for 30 years at Crestline Elementary School in Mountain Brook. She is extremely excited about working with precious four year olds and watching them learn and grow and is thrilled to be a part of PreSchool Partners.

Caroline graduated from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education/ Special Education. She started working at Mitchell’s Place after college and then transitioned into the school systems as a kindergarten inclusion teacher.  Caroline can’t wait to start her journey at Preschool Partners!!

Teacher, Four Year Olds

Kim graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught for 14 years in the Birmingham City Schools, 10 of which were at McElwain Elementary School which is where PreSchool Partners is located today.  Kim also subsitututed for 19 years at Crestline Elementary School.  She loves teaching and is so excited to be part of PreSchool Partners!

Leslie Price

Teacher, Four Year Olds

Leslie graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. and M.A. in Early Childhood Education.  She previously taught first and second grades in both public and private schools.  Leslie is thrilled to be a part of the PreSchool Partners family and hopes to use her background and experience in helping children become the best they can be.

Teacher, Three Year Olds

Micki earned her associate degree at Jefferson State Community College and is continuing her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She has worked in the child development field for the past 24 years with children from the infant class to a First-Class Pre-K program.  Her favorite part about teaching is building individual connections with the children. She is very excited to start her first year with PreSchool Partners!

Teacher, Three Year Olds

Meg graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Speech Pathology.  She was a Speech Pathologist for 6 years at Hewitt Elementary and has 13 years experience teaching preschool.  Meg says it’s truly rewarding watching children grow and learn throughout the year.  She is so excited to be a part of the PreSchool Partners team!

Ashley Miller

Ashley Miller

Teacher, Three Year Olds

Ashley earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from UAB. Following graduation, Ashley moved to New York City and earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercy College. Ashley has previously taught pre-k, kindergarten, and first grades. While she loves all grade levels, her passion is for preschool. Ashley is very excited to start her first year at PreSchool Partners.

Drue Miller

Drue Miller

Teacher, Three Year Olds

Drue graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  She has teaching experience with two year olds, as well as having taught fifth grade at St. Pius X School in Mobile.   Drue enjoys teaching at the preschool level and is very excited about the opportunity to spend time helping children at PreSchool Partners succeed in their educational experience.

Sherry Sumners

Sherry Sumners

Teacher, Three Year Olds

Sherry completed her undergraduate degree from The University of Mississippi, then received her master’s degree in Elementary Education from UAB. She taught kindergarten for 10 years then worked in Early Childhood for 5 years at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She’s been a volunteer tutor at PreSchool Partners for 7 years and a member of the Board of Director’s for 5 years. She’s honored to walk alongside each child (and their families) as they journey through the school year together. It’s all “for the kids”!

Teacher, Three Year Olds

Catherine has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama and a Masters degree from UAB. She taught for 28 years in the Birmingham City Schools as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher, a Reading Recovery teacher and a Reading Coach. After retiring, Catherine began teaching 3 and 4 year olds and is excited to be a part of the PreSchool Partners team! She loves children and hopes to make a positive difference in the live of each child she meets.

Kayley graduated from the University of Montevallo with a degree in History/Art History. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from John’s Hopkins University where she focused in informal education and engagement. Kayley has worked with early-childhood-aged children in the museum world for many years and is excited to share her passion for hands-on learning with her students.

Neoki has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Criminal Justice from Miles College.  She has worked with children from preschool age through high school. Neoki’s favorite thing about working at PreSchool Partners is planning fun activities for the children to enjoy that also make learning fun!

Teacher, Two Year Olds

Sarah graduated from the Multiple Abilities Program at The University of Alabama with certifications in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, and Collaborative Teacher. She is currently working toward her master’s in education online at the University of Alabama. She has had experience working with children from preschool age through fifth grade. Sarah loves being around children and helping them succeed. Sarah is very excited to join the PreSchool Partners family and looks forward to sharing her passion of learning with each child she comes across!

Mimi graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in both Early Childhood Education and Child Life. She has experience working with children in preschool as well as in a hospital environment. Mimi loves working with children and after learning about PreSchool Partners ,she is very excited to join a program like this and looks forward to the opportunity to help the children succeed!

Susan graduated from Mountain Brook High School and attended the Business School at the University of Alabama.  She previously worked for PreSchool Partners from1999-2004 and is amazed at how much the program has grown!  Susan loves working with children and is excited to help all the teachers in the task of educating, supporting, and preparing the children and their families for success.

Kourtnie graduated from McAdory High School and attends the University of Alabama at Birmingham working towards a degree in English/Professional Writing. After receiving her degree, she hopes to work in education, specifically curriculum and instruction. Kourtnie was introduced to PreSchool Partners through a visit with Birmingham’s Youth Leadership Forum. She fell in love with the program because she saw a family of passionate teachers and administrators working to produce a solid educational foundation for children while also supporting their families. She is excited join the PreSchool Partners family and be a small part of the preschoolers’ educational journey!

Hayley graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Communication Disorders. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo. Greg Tarrant

Greg Tarrant

Security Guard

Greg graduated from Ensley High School and joined the US Army and served in the Military Police.  He then went to Lawson State and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.  Greg has worked in security for over 19 years. Mr. Greg’s favorite part about working at PreSchool Partners is working with the kids and interacting with their parents.
